The Scientific Program Committee of SOGP 2012 invites all interested individuals to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations. Abstracts on any topics relevant to women’s health are welcome. The deadline of abstract submission is extended to February 29th, 2012. On-line submission through the email: sogp14bicon@gmail.com is welcomed.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee and selected for oral or poster presentation based on the following criteria:
All abstracts should be submitted under either the “Oral” or the “Poster” options.
Selected abstracts for oral presentation will be presented at the congress according to the topic fields.
Some abstracts that are either chosen by the author to be presented in poster presentation or are not selected for oral presentation will be considered for poster presentation. This will allow presenters to discuss their research with other colleagues in the display areas.
These instructions are designed to assist you for preparing your abstract. It provides all the information you need to comply with the submission standards of SOGP 2012.
The abstract should be less than 300 words. It should be typed in 12pt Times New Roman in English. The body of the text should commence 2 lines below the last author affiliation. Type the text single spaced with no indentations.
Author names should be written in 12pt bold. Full given names should precede the family name. The presenting author must be listed first and underlined. For any unforeseen changes to presenters, the replacement presenter must be one of the authors listed in the abstract. The author list should commence 1 line below the title. The presenting author and up to a maximum of 9 co-authors will be listed in the authors’ index of the program as well as on the abstract headline. The maximum number of authors is limited to 10.
Author affiliations (institution, city and country) should be in 12pt and separated by semicolons. Authors from different institutions should be identified by superscript indices at the end of each author’s name and at the beginning of each institution

1). Headings: The headings of “Objectives”, “Methods”, “Results” and “Conclusions” should be in bold as shown in the “Sample” below.
2). Abbreviations: The use of standard abbreviations is acceptable. Other abbreviations should be placed in parentheses after the first appearance of the full description for which it stands.
The abstract filename must contain the topic code and be followed by the full name of the presenting author, which is “Topic No.-Subtopic No._FirstName_LastName”. For example, the abstract for the subtopic “Abortion & Ectopic pregnancy” under the first topic “General Gynecology”, would appear like this: 1-3_Rizwana chaudhry
